[Advent Drama Calendar 2020] Day 4: Which drama offered the most innovative scenario?

Actually many dramas had something that could be classified as innovative, something that wasn't seen or used before.

1. Search (2020)

Not everyday we get to see the drama that takes place at the DMZ, and entirely within the military unit. And this also offered a glimpse of the harsh review of the martyrdom of the past. The usage of North Korea as the boogeyman to fall from the sky and attack everyone. It showed that the cover up will always be revealed. Coincidentally, like the military behavior in Gwangju, precisely 40 years ago.

2. Extracurricular (2020)

Seemingly innocuous poster of some high schoolers may fool everyone, but this is no usual high school story. Unpleasant, raw and emotional ride through volatile youth problems like drugs, teenage prostitution, crime, etc.

3. SF8 (2020)

This one is cheating because SF8 is an anthology, however the scope of these 8 episodes, although still reflecting the values, hopes and fears of nowaday's society, set the action in the future, laced with technology an asked us the question - whether we are equipped to change as fast as technology. Some were better than others but that's how it goes with anthologies.

Honorable mentions:

Missing: The Other Side (2020)
Kingdom S 2 (2020)

Dishonorable mention:
Rugal (2020) - boy, it had the potential but it should have stayed on paper to be polished more.
