I was wondering for a long time whether should I write about this series. In the age of instant streaming and abundance of critics, one opinion less would not change anything.

But then I realized - why not? What makes my voice less relevant than the others?

In case anyone wants to watch some interesting documentaries, here's the list of the ones I've watched in the past year. Some are standalone films, and some are multi-episode series. And one is comprised of 7 seasons.

[Movies Review] DPRK Movies, Or How Great Is Our General!

 

The first 10 movies I will be presenting here, were completely random, maybe except for "The Flower Girl". I just watched what generator actually shown. That's why those are movies mainly from the 80s and 90s. With the next 10, I will try to be more selective (maybe Bulgasari, who knows), however I don't promise I will watch "The Sea of Blood" once again.

[First Impression] Police University

I realized not so long ago that more and more of my so-called "reviews" are rather musings, throwing theories here and there, based rather on personal feelings than any notebook of cinematography/screenwriting/whatever craft. If I like it, then I like it and may be the only person liking it.

I am probably the only person liking this drama then.

[First Impression] On The Verge of Insanity

I understand this might not be everyone's cup of tea, because it tells the story of workers trying to survive during mass layoffs and uncertainty because of their job. As side stories, this drama adds other social issues that we usually don't like to think about.

 

[First Impression] Bossam - Steal The Fate

Since there is an unwritten rule that I need to have a sageuk among the pile of dramas I'm watching, this half of the year it's Bossam's turn to entertain. Although 'entertain' might be the wrong word for any historical that isn't explicit comedy (like Detective K).

KBS Drama Special 2020: Stealing Sleep/While You're Away

 This was a cute little story about meeting again and learning to open up.

[Movie Review] My First Client (2019)

This will not be the usual review, because - honestly - I don't want to go through this trauma again just to write in-depth post. This is rather posted to bring eyes to this movie, in the light of the most recent, tragic events regarding the abuse and death of one little Jeongin.

I decided to lump together mini-dramas and webdramas - to separate them from the regular series. I don't count here anthologies, like KBS Drama Special or Drama Stage. And I have to add - each and every one of the 13 I watched, is worth spending time on.

There are 34 movies on my list and I live-tweeted each and every one of them when I watched, so if anyone wants to re-live the moments - go there. Some were a good entertainment and some were boring or not good.

This is an homage to Super Junior's immortal choreo.

KBS Drama Special 2020: The Reason Not to Confess

This season of DS is slow and meditative and this episode can be summed up with: good things come to those who wait.

KBS Drama Special 2020: Crevasse

 

This was a story about two people and their lives ruined by the past, cowardice and passion.

[Review] KBS Drama Special 2016 Full Season

And 2016 would end my succinct and mass reviews of the KBS2 Drama Special series, because 2015 was the last year I regularly watched the episodes, even though I did not write anything about them.

Fun fact - in lots of these episodes we see the rain. Nothing new, as the DS are usually shot during Summer, yet I couldn't help but smile thinking: "Oh, they shot this one along with that one".

[Review] How To Buy A Friend (2020)

This 4-episode long gem took over the slot left empty by Tale of Nokdu (which ended in November but was left open since then) and from the first second I loved absolutely everything about it - each frame, each word, the camera movement, the editing, music, the problems presented here, the actors.

[Review] Loss:Time:Life - The Last Chance (2019)

I honestly have no idea why am I doing this to myself, but here I am, after watching all installments. This episode was, at one point even a harder experience than the previous series. Why? Because the main character is only a high school kid here.

[Review] KBS Drama Special 2017 Full Season

This drama season has the subtitle: "The Law of the Melo", so going into it, I expected tragedy. Let's put it that way - the only tragedy is that these are only one episodes wonders.

[Review] Loss:Time:Life (2016)

This is a Korean remake of a Japanese series from 2008 and it's followed by two other installments, all on my list to watch. 

It consists of 9 episodes with the last one being about the referees only, so we have two separate stories with 4 episodes each.
