I will try to update this post, but this is some rough sketch on the topic: Neo-Confucian thought in Korea - how it helped and how it restrained the society?

Guns and Talks
Although Divine Weapon was the first movie I watched with Jeong Jae Young after a break, this one is my favorite. I have seen it I have no idea how many times. I just love everything about this movie: the characters, the plot, the filming technique, the lines, the music. I read many bad reviews on this movie, many complaining this is not a realistic action movie, the main line is vague. So? This is a comedy, and in fact one of the best I've seen.

Delispice
I started to listen to Deli Spice... no big surprise - after watching The Classic. It's my kind of music - nice lyrics, good music, and very, very nice bass line^^.
Jung Ryeo Won’s Interview on Castaway on the Moon
As I mentioned, I dig up every article I can find on JJY, even not so new one. To be honest, there are not so much new ones. So I decided to place here one question on JJY, that Jung Ryeo Won was being asked.

Attack The Gas Station 2
I was shocked when I saw Attack the Gas Station some time ago. I liked the story, characters, their hilarious reactions and lines. So, naturally, I became skeptical with the part 2. And to be honest, it is nowhere near the original.

Beethoven Virus OST 베토벤 바이러스
I can't help it, but this OST is one of the best. And Jang Geun Seok's song is my favorite from all of his songs.

Year 1910
There are two sides of every action. The receiver of an action and the performer of an action. No exception.
Year 1910 I'm going to write shortly on is the year that marked two different actions. One party simply took over some other party. The side that has been taken over, started to think of rebellion. At that time rebellion was out of possibilities.
Konjaku Monogatari 今昔物語
今昔物語 has always been my source of imagination. Perhaps not mine, but Japanese, who lived before 12th century. This I share with the person I admire - Akutagawa Ryuunosuke (芥川龍之介).

Jeong Jae Young - Filmography
The previous entry on JJY movies ends with Wedding Campaign, that depicts his character as mildly mannered (slightly behind normal speed, I would say^^) man going on the continent in order to find wife.
Iggi, G-Love
OK, so, according to one blog on asiae.kr Iggi news, in 이끼, along with Jeong Jae Young (정재영) the movie will feature Yoo Seon (유선), and Park Hae Il (박해일, in Host, i.e). But the article is on Jeong Jae Young other movie - G-Love ( G can be interpreted either as Great or Give) that will start filming around half of the 2010.
One thing can be stated as for now, JJY is making good choices in movies. I was delighted by his performance in 신기전, although Han Eun Jeong's (한은정) performance was pretty weak. I liked her in Full House, but here she was somewhat emotionless. And of course, Ahn Seong Gi (안성기) was great but it's nothing new. I would be surprised by his weak performance.

Jeong Jae Young - a good start

(after: koreanmovie)
Jung Jae-young (b. November 21, 1970) started his career taking minor roles in films ranging from his debut The Adventures of Mrs. Park to Green Fish, The Quiet Family, and Die Bad. However throughout this period he was primarily occupied with works by director/playright Jang Jin, both on the stage and in minor roles for the films The Happenings and The Spy.

First entry
This is my first attempt to write a blog. I decided to do this not because I want to show myself to the world, I want to show something else to the world. I'd like to introduce a little bit of Korean culture (yes, I know, Hallyu is reaching even such remote parts of world as the one I'm in).
And this will be my experiment in writing in three languages.
私は日本語の先生だ。日本語だけでなく、日本文化とか日本の社会について授業もある。4年前に日本学科を出てから、アメリカに行った。国に帰ったら、大学で教えるのを始めた。
