2011 Kdrama OSTs

Bad thing is - there wasn't any OST that I would buy in a heartbeat. There were some nice songs that fitted the drama, yet nothing as spectacular and powerful as, let's say, Chuno OST or Revenge of Gumiho OST. Oh yes, 2010 was a good year for dramas. Maybe last year of some quality in main 3 broadcasts' productions.
But if I had to pick up the best score - it would be NToG and What's Up! But the second drama started in December and ended in February, so it's not entirely 2011 one.

Cable drama worth every penny

This is a poll conducting now on DC Gall from 2012-01-17 - 2012-01-24. So far, Padam Padam is second. The first place belongs to Harvest Villa (and I can't complain actually).
I transcribed the list below.
Info from PP twitter.

2011 Dramas

Not that last year was prolific with outstanding dramas. Bad thing - it wasn't. I dropped more dramas than in previous years combined. Those years past I finished almost all dramas I started, but with Secret Garden last year I had an epiphany. I realized I have no obligation whatsoever to finish the drama I have no feel for, or I didn't "click" with it.
And I have problem with classifying *fangirl alert* What's Up! or Padam Padam. Fact, those both started last year, but I prefer to treat them as 2012 dramas. Why? Because 2011 was a crappy year for me.
Yeah, maybe biased list, maybe no one agrees with me (but I won't cry in the corner as 'certain someone The Diva'), yet I don't impose my opinion, so feel free to disagree.
I respect my dearest readers opinions and taste as well.
As long as they won't steal one of my 82673512365 loves.

Korea, Y U no make musical movie?

Oh, I so can see some Kpop plastic fantastic here^^ Not sure if I can see brilliant Corny though.
Few personal words first. I’ve been watching movies for well over 20 years now, and I believe I watched my first musical around the same time. I don’t remember what it was. One thing I do remember is that I’ve been always enamored by musicals – be it as a movie or performed on the stage. It does not matter.
Korea is abundant with stage musicals, according to Won Jong-Won who wrote an article in “Koreana”, there is around 180 musicals staged annually without those for children. This is probably more than the amount of movies made in my country per year.
But when it comes to musicals as movies or dramas – barren land. Nothing.

So, people, What's Up!

OK, after few busy days, hectic days ahead. I moved out (old flat owners being jerks, but it's normal here), and since I have warm (WARM!!) room, I restarted watching dramas. Two, actually. The Cutie Vampire Prosecutor and What's Up!. Since I rambled few times about how awesome vampire... I mean the show, show is, now I will spazz how awesome What's Up! drama is.
Basically - this drama can be enjoyed even by those who are not into Kdrama. Why? It's about music, and believe me, music knows no boundaries, no language barriers etc.
It's universal in it's portrayal of musicals.

Some songs

Since What's Up! finally arrived, maybe two videos. First - of course Lunatic by Daesung, and second - YB (some people will be happy they won an award lately at MAMA).
Before I put those here, one small clarification. I do like Dae's voice a lot. But in the video they used raw material, and it doesn't sound like mixed properly (there is a huge gap between how his voice sounds and how music sounds), and it looks like demo version. The audio alone is of better quality.
Second, if it's not any hoax, I'm shocked. I really am.
I do hope it's not a hoax and it's really Dae, cause I love this song.
