Spring in Dramaland

 photo Untitled-1copy.jpg

If anyone has allergy to Kpollen, well, annoying times approach. You better have your meds and tissues.
Last season was somehow dry for Kdrama. I dropped almost all dramas that started airing last year or at the beginning of this one, with the exception of Missing You, which, although being a happy trainwreck from around ep 15, managed to clutch me tight within its grip and I genuinely anticipated what the next episode will bring.
But spring season looks quite promising (all pinky and fluff and petals, I will explode with kawaii soon).

I Need Coffee (Prince) 2.5

Note to self - never make any plans that reach beyond 6 hours. On top of that I run out of coffee and if anyone needs to know something about me is the fact I drink enormous amounts of coffee without any apparent effect. Yet I'm drinking it because I like the smell and taste. Plus, when drinking at a cafe, barista can make those state-of-art pictures on foam, and you just sit there smiling at a cup like a brain-devoided idiot thinking how NOT to ruin this.
Since my day was ruined from the start and I didn't plan it, there came rain and steel-grey clouds that made this kitty very, very sleepy.
Confined to my chair that screeches worse than Alien Momma, I report on whatever goes around Kdramaland.

It has been decided, as the voting was counted from netizens' side.

No, the ceremony will be held in April, but I started to stalk their website (link courtesy of KingKong Ent), and I came accross "popularity" part. Voting is from 3 parties: websites like Nate, Olleh, phone calls, and android app. Until April 23rd.

Shin Hagyun interview

I'm in awe. Words like respect and admiration suddenly lost their meaning. It's just an overwhelming presence of this actor, yet his quiet and approachable image make him outstanding.
I probably make no sense at all.

Cafe Noir and The Murderer

I mean cuts from movie shows.
But first, let me express my gratitude to all who ruined my second account by hotlinking. What is wrong with you all? I have nothing against downloading and re-uploading even claim the cuts as your own, I don't freaking care, but do not hotlink.

Upcoming movies: November

I know I should do many other things, but instead, I'm hanging around here and there, D-A is working again, so... In November we will (ekhem... Koreans will) get few new movies of every genre. A comedy, a thriller and drama. Two of them caught my eyes, No Doubt and Festival. The latter is actually a blind choice - because of Shin Hakyun in it. I miss him and Harvest Villa, although it had its funny moments, wasn't that funny at all. I saw the preview for it in some movie show, and except for some racy scenes, there is his face...

Omo, Omo, Omoooo!!

Ha Jeongwu and Jang Hyeok in one movie. One of the best actors and one of the best bodies... Well, no, I'm unfair, JH is also a good actor, Ok^^... Ah, let me fangirl for a moment... So, you're forgiven for dropping out of the Secret Garden, although my heart aches still that I will not see you along Yun Sanghyeon... Shiiit, that reminds me of Sanghyeon's hair, brrr... change it, change it please.
The movie, tentatively titled as The Client, will be directed by Son Youngseong. Apart from Mr. Ha and Mr. Jang (the right Jang, not to confuse it with The Peach^^) in the movie stars also Park Heesun.

Korean new movies ^^

First, the one I've been anticipating the most for few months already. Because of the director and because of one of the cast. Those who know who they are don't need further explanation. Those who don't: No Regret (2006). Judging from the trailer, it looks like a tense movie. Let's hope it will be better than his latest Short!Short! I think I posted about this movie some time ago, but just in any case one more time^^... Ufufu.
Break Away
Directed by Lee Song-hee-il
Cast: Lee Yeong-hoon as Kang Jae-hoon
So Yoo-jin as Lee So-yeong
Jin I-han as Park Min-jae
Lee Tae-yeong
Plot:
Abandoning their military post, three soldiers escape together for different reasons. Among the three deserters, Jae-Hoon escapes to see his mother who is on her deathbed from a terminal cancer, the troublemaker Min-Jae escapes to take revenge against his girlfriend who betrayed him and the rookie named Dong-Min escapes unable to bear the constant assaults of his seniors. As the search party closes in on them, Dong-Min commits suicide from the overwhelming pressure. With no way out, Jae-Hoon and Min-Jae struggle to escape the situation with the help of Jae-Hoon’s love interest, So-Young.(asianmediawiki)

Music Video

I have always liked music videos. That is why I was such a sucker for some clips back in my.. erm... younger days. I never had any cable TV, no computer but I had two, maybe three music shows on TV (2 movie shows as well), so I watched it every time. I could fake illness just to stay home and watch it. Maybe it's because I like stories and movies I developed some liking for film-like MV. I like when it has a storyline. I like when professional actors appear in it. It's really hard in Europe, because actors think they are gift from gods and MV is below their  semi-divine nature. Bullsh*t, my dear Artists, you're just self-absorbed egoists with your egos bigger than our Galaxy. (Meanwhile... in the Galaxy far away, Palpatine still looks wrinkled bad, and Luke still is this retared farmboy...)
That is why discovering Korean entertainment came like heavensent.
First: they are not afraid to experiment. Second: they have actors who appear in MV and turn it into the masterpiece. Peggy from DA pointed me to some video that was even released on DVD, it's almost 30 minutes long, it's practically a short movie itself. There are shorts shorter than this.
Do I have some fears about hmm... short things?? Nah...

Shin Ha Kyun in: M To M - 사랑이 죄겠니 (Harvest Villa OST)

As I said, Shin Ha Kyun amazes me in Harvest Villa. Today it not aired, I'm afraid it's because of low ratings. Aired, aired, be relieved^^. Those damn ratings. It can ruin everything. You're Beautiful was planned as 20-episodes drama, but it was cut short because it was aired against IRIS, and of course IRIS got all the viewers. But is this drama really so good? I dare say no. It's overhyped. I felt like last year with all that BOF hype. I watched few episodes, not interested in the rest and I did what I have never done before - I just dropped. Zutto, zuuutto mae ni, even if drama didn't catch my interest that much I tried to watch it till the end, just not let anybody say: "Oh, you know, the last episode was excellent! You didn't watch it? So how dare you to speak about it?!". No, really, after some time I can tell if drama is good or bad just by 3-4 first episodes. I don't count Jdramas, cause 4 episodes are the middle of the series already, so every Jdrama I start to watch, I watch till the very end. Kdramas have usually 16 episodes, so 4 is just a quarter, so sunawachi: a probe.Ah, yes, BOF I skipped. I just couldn't watch it. Even Lee Min Ho didn't save it for me.
Where was I? Ah, yes, Shin Ha Kyun.
Here you have fresh, brand new as... uhm... nevermind MV with the new song for Harvest Villa.
