SF8: Manxin

I really liked this episode. And Lee Donghwi starring it it has absolutely nothing to do with it. I am a professional.

Drama Stage 2020: Blackout

This one I will honestly don't describe (in detail) because the crime intrigue is very nice and people should rather watch for themselves. This episode's main topic is greed, I think. And how it corrupts.

[Review] She Knows Everything

This mini drama is based on the script that won 2019 MBC Script Contest, which proves that the fate of crime writers and crime dramas in Korea is rather safe. This 4-episode long story is full of twists and turns, well defined and full-bloodied characters and also a scathing social commentary.

[First Impression] Forest of Secrets/Secret Forest

For a small toad a shrub is a tree. And bushes - a whole forest. Sometimes this forest can be "une forêt de Bondy", the one having a horrible reputation, a cursed place where Childéric II, a grandson of Dagobert was assassinated, also it was frequented by the brigands and ruffians. There is also Birnam Forest in Macbeth, a nightmarish harbinger of main character's fall. And Brocéliande - which has few parallels to the drama here. In it, as in Chrétien de Troyes' version, Ywain pours the water from a well over a stone, causing a storm and suddenly a knight appears that guards the forest. Then Ywain kills the knight...

You have Answer to 1997?

Let me say one thing first - I worship tvN and their dramas. I don't know how they do it, but they can bring freshness, originality, boldness and ideas main stations are shy of. I'm not saying other broadcasts don't try, but since tvN is a cable one - it has a lot more of freedom. And uses it wisely. Last year's I Need Romance's ending disappointed me, but one drama doesn't make the exception a rule. And the rule is - tvN can make series.

Han Yeseul and actors' workload

Han Yeseul might be the beacon of hope afterall. This will be hard, because the law needs to uproot the whole sick system of shooting the drama, treating the actors like acting (or not) hens laying golden eggs, and introducing a little bit of the pre-production.
That's a heavy load and bumpy road. Let's hope another actor/actress will be taken to the hospital from overworking so no one could be at ease.

Fans' culture...

... according to KBS. Oh yes, we know KBS is in the middle of banning JYJ and war, so obviously they couldn't mention any sasaeng situation. According to their raport (it has eng subs, watch it before they take it down from yt) fans are one awesomely bonded family, caring about their idols, a bunch of happy rabbits prancing around and donating rice.
Screams BULLSHIT all over the place, even worse propaganda than usual Arirang videos. But watch and decide for yourself.

Baeksang Popularity Awards

It has been decided, as the voting was counted from netizens' side.
I barely make any sense, sorry.

MBC labor union votes for strike

People are fighting for normal conditions of work, yet fangirls biggest concern is that they won't see cute couples on We Got Married show.

On the horizon

I am a loyal fan so I will watch Shut Up Flower Band (or something like that), because of Myeongsu (L) in it. Although I don't expect anything groundbreaking and painfully deep. And rumor has it, Yucheon will have a new drama called "Attic Prince". I can see a lawsuit filled by Diva Jang that the title "Prince" belongs to him. I so see it.
No written agreement yet, but the talks went, supposedly, smoothly.
And the other movie is worth mentioning because of its genre - thriller and fantasy. Damn that sounds good.

SBS, oh SBS...

We all probably noticed that last year's Gayos were pure crap in term of technical issues. Mics not working, lack of space, other things. It's not one or two stations, MBC had sound problems, and SBS... Oh you know I'm not that fond of this station.
I found one post on tumblr gathering few incidents in one place.

Column – An Inconvenient Truth about JYJ’s TV Appearance

It's the translated article from Nate that appeared here, on JYJ website. And it's heavy, and it's right into your face. I'm not a big fan of conspiracy theories, but what is happening around JYJ isn't normal. As always, read this and make your own judgement, but since this article appeared as Column part on Nate, not in fan section - something is going on, and pray that will help boys' situation.

Kdrama-llama in a nutshell

Few news (or un-inews, in-news?) put all into one post.
First, SHINing boys, who will sing for upcoming Korea-Japan-China produced drama Strangers 6. The drama itself depicts the story between six members of international organizations in Korea, Japan, and China, who all work together to maintain the three countries’ joint economic zone. It is not easy, because they have to overcome the bias and negative feelings towards each other. I say - good luck. Another Mother Theresa (who was really great woman, btw.) of a drama, showing us all good people united, overcoming personal and national prejudice. I bet there won't be any flag-burning or Yasukuni visiting moments. Ekhem... As much as I laugh about the title (which is stupid in my opinion), I'm well... how to put it... please don't remind me of their song for Haru, mkey? End of the story.

New ranking

Looks like Arirang is running out of the ideas to make another ranking. And, what's funnier (more funny?), Yucheon got his own ranking, muwahaha!! Ekhe, ekhe...
