Great, my screen is clean again^^ This is called "screen kiss".

   This is fun! I thought a kiss is just a kiss, but no, not in Korea. There are kisses and KISSES according to this article on HanCine. While reading this I suddenly realized that those categories are just lame and inadequate to variety of Kdrama kisses! "Foam kiss", "kimchi kiss"? Oh, pleeze, spread the word, good villagers, and let's create challenging (because Kdrama writers are sometimes" challenged" already) kiss categories!

Not for teenagers, mothers and all that element in society that feels uneasy seeing kisses. Imageheavy post.

Bad Guy on japanese TV

As if he needed more unhinged fangirls...

Actor Kim Nam Gil (30) appears on Japanese TV this autumn.

The SBS TV series Bad Guy in which Kim Nam Gil plays the main role, and Sign in which Kim Ah Joong acted in, will be broadcasted through NHK in Japan on September and October respectively.

Good Story, the production company of Bad Guy, revealed that Bad Guy will be broadcasted in Japan for two weeks with a new title Enemy and black, every 10:00 p.m. from September 4, from Monday to Thursday.

A source from Good Story said, “Japan’s largest media NHK decided to run the TV series on 10:00 p.m. Usually, Korean TV series are aired at midnight or later. We hope that Bad Guy will become a big hit and be recognized as a great TV product.”

Bad Guy will begin to air on October once more with subtitles.

I planned to do something contructive this evening (night) and maybe translate another short story, but I was given some koan. And I bet no one from the great zen masters couldn't produce the answer. Producers and directors of soap operas and movies may have difficulty shooting as scheduled after a group of management agencies announced they were refusing to let their actors work due to unpaid wages and performance fees.
The Corea Entertainment Management Association disclosed Wednesday a list of companies responsible for 32 dramas and films, which have failed to pay actors, along with the names of the productions, production heads and directors who made the dramas.
It said actors of the agencies will not participate in films made by the companies in question.
The collective action follows a chronic overdue payment problem in the film and drama production industry.

2010 - R.I.P.

   I think I should do this beforehand, but somehow it wasn't my first thought few days ago. 2010 ended, and I'm glad. Months after March were bad and deteriorated quickly. Maybe it's because I'm getting older and bitter? I'm alive and I should be grateful for that, but partly I'm grateful to myself, because I toned down my reckless behavior, and started to, at least, act cautious every few days.

   I'm grateful for few beautiful souls out there I was given to meet. For all my Thorns and Queens of Lus... Luscious Words. I'm happy I spent so much time on many, many topics with them. That kept me sane, in a way.

As for other things: career-wise and interest-wise. My so called "research career" got accelerated. I went to few (ok, so far 2) conferences and it was nice. This year will be even busier, I can see it even now.

I started to blog. I remember myself saying that blogging is a stripping, an exhibitionistic behavior, but somehow I figured that one doesn't have to write about personal feelings and poison the world with another Weltschmerz. Stating the opinion is completely different than writing about "oh how world does hate me and I have no reason to live". So do it and stop whining, I'd say!
And I'm happy few people found this blog useful. To all readers - thank you and stay tuned^^

   I don't think I will sleep tonight. Or again, I don't think I will have a nice sleep. OK, lets don't overdramatize, I will sleep anyway. There are two solutions: either Gun Wook fakes or he really went crazy. If it's the first one, and from his last gaze in the end it looks like, I don't wanna see him die tomorrow. I mean, I know they planned it for him, but please, pretty please, kill Mrs. Shin. Yes, please kill that b*tch! If not, I'm available and I will do it for free.
Update after watching last episode: August 5th: Assssssaaaa!!! Let her rot in the worst jail ever!!
I did not expect that kind of ending though.

... despite all of its faults. The reason is simple. Actually it's without a reason. It's just a feeling.

I have no response from Seoul Drama Commitee. When I will, I will let you all know what is the progress in dealing with ignored fans in Europe. OK. maybe my mail was a bit harsh, but damn, I was so frustrated because of us who can't participate (all I know is that even without filling, the voice is valid), so I wrote it. But maybe they work on it.

Here is one of the reasons I'm stuck with this drama and the reason why I'm taking it on my well deserved, but not too much anticipated, vacations.

I guess, I could recharge my batteries better with you/DA than with my family, but as I wrote, filial piety is something I gained from asian culture through all these dark years of studying.

   Hmm... I didn't expect elevator scene will have such impact on SBS website. Also the clothes change. But maybe what's normal for me, wait... maybe it wasn't just clothes changing? I need to rewatch it. Perhaps it had something in common with their personalities and f*cked up childhood? I mean, they both were really hurt in the past, they both shared the same name, now they both share the same downfall. Changing clothes may mean changing the fate, or at least an attempt of doing so. If it was so irrelevant, it wouldn't be shown in such way. In a way they are the same person, but divided in two. The one is light, the other is dark, the one's the only desire is to be loved, the other's to be loved by no one. But as for now, I can't really say who is the bad guy in it. Of course, the obvious answer would be Gun Wook, because of his scheming and coldness, but be honest, he's not the only one. Maybe this drama should be called Nappeun Saram instead? A Bad Person, because, as I see it, there is only one who will be hurt in the end, because she's innocent. Everyone in this drama has one's own dark secrets and desires. People are just afraid of it, they are afraid of their own thoughts, of their own bad side. And sometimes someone like Gun Wook steps in and without any hesitation can strip bare from all the veils of morality, habits, restrictions. He turned the lives of those people upside down. He messed up with their world. Sometimes this kind of earthquake is good. This is how I see him.

Lets face it, I'm biased toward one male lead in this drama, so forgive me if the number of pictures doesn't satisfy you. I will try to dig out some more goods on this cherry^^.

Bad Guy: 나쁜 남자 : eh well, what's left? Pictures? Part 1

I don't know what direction this drama goes at. I had such high hopes, still, I think it's not bad, but it's confusing. I like, I repeat: I like the relationship between Gun Wook and Tae Ra. I see how Gun Wook and Jae In are really good match and why he is drawn to her. Because this is probably GW's pain in the a**. Because he genuinely is drawn to her, despite all his scheming, all his hatred, all his disdain. Ok, he's the best played character, apart from Tae Ra. He's a snake, like a real snake: quiet, sometimes lazy, sometimes motionless, but he can strike. And I like his quiet mode, I like his mystery air around.

As for pictures, there are too much for one post, so I will divide them: The rest of the cast, Kim Jae Wook, and KNG-nim.

And when I say too much, I really mean too much. I had few bad days in a row, so I was not interested even in going to SBS site, that is why when I finally went there today, I had 3 days' worth in pictures. That makes almost a 100. Of ourse I will not post them all. Who cares about the detectives anyway? Except for Gun Wook, of course, mehehe.

Yes, finally this interview. It's very long, but I decided not to break it in two separate posts, just put the whole in one. Interview from before the premiere.

 It's because although I'm not convinced to this drama, I'm very convinced to the main leads. I really do hope this will have some change. Some, I don't know, ... change. I need to re-watch all the episodes once more and then I will write some more on it. Because right now, apart from acting, I can't really tell.

See? Even Gun Wook is sceptical about it? 

KNG said that originally, they wanted to make the drama movie-like, but they had no time for editing it. If the drama started in August, it probably be put into practice, even if they shot all episodes long before this date. But, SBS played everybody around, including actors and director (not to mention us, pissed off viewers, and devoted... ekhem... you know), so we got a whirlpool of inconsistent news.

And now they are forcing everyone to push off their own limits, good, kill your players, if the only aim is not a good drama and good shape of your actors, but a profit.
SBS... damn. No wonder I had such a good time watching Handphone. The protagonist was working at SBS, and I couldn't pity him in the end. By the way... KNG had a cameo in it, and in the credits he was even separately named. This is what it means to be recognized. A hilarious, great 15 minutes.
Speaking of which... His appearance in Personal Taste is accounted on DramaWiki. I have no idea why, since his agency stated it was an accidental cameo, not planned. he was just caught on camera while they were shooting the scene in the restaurant.
Man... So this things actually happen...

Bad Guy: 나쁜 남자 : in danger?

   Apparently, KNG got another notice urging him to enlist. In March he was granted the extention for 3 months, but I don't think it will work this time, and if it does, some may say he's avoiding the military. And that's not true. He said in one interview, that he can't wait for it to start.

But.

There is this "but". Whose butt? Anyway...
They filmed 11 episodes so far, and even if the rumor about the Episode nr 17 is true, still, it leaves 6 episodes in 2 weeks. That would be hard. And he is not in the top shape either.

Clubbox hates me. It hates me with all its might. Plus MU hates me as well.

I just have to be even more patient than I already am. Eventually, the interview I'm waiting for 3 days will come to me. And then... and then I'm dead for the next 24 hours. No, seriously, I can function despite my mind being occupied by 2 men. Strange. I never thought it is possible, but I developped it.

Maybe I became a totally new specimen of hoomin? Maybe I... damn, too much movies, too much books lately.

I need to go back to my Korean, cause the last 3 months were a horrendous hiatus in my learning. Two more exams ahead (not mine, I just conduct them, hehe), and then... I'm terrified  from the slightest thought of the freedom I get since the middle of July.

I will finally have time to watch dramas, to watch movies properly and to write reviews. To read books I wanted to, but had no time... To listen to some new music. With the latter it may be small problem, cause I don't listen to everything.

So I've been waiting patiently for everything, and now I got this?? They're f*cking joking with us!

A special will be aired the next week. Does Korea play today or tomorrow? Am I mistaken?? Crrrrrap. I really hate the mess SBS produces, First: the premiere date. We all were living on the swing: May - August - May - August.
