So here I am, watching Junki's drama and worse - enjoying it to the maximum! Shin Mina acts cutsy-wutsy, but so far not to the level of annoying the hell (oops) out of me, and surprisingly, I don't cringe at Junki's acting, but I'm having - to quote Asspen ski instructor - "a good tiiiime".
Appearance of Yoo Seungho definitely helped this pervi nuna to stick to this drama as well, ekhem.

It's a mixture of fantasy, sageuk, action and romance. The girl's name is Lee Seo Rim, but since she didn't know her name, she was called Arang, somewhat around Jane Doe for female, unmarried ghosts.
In Korea, ghost of an unmarried girl was considered to be one of the most feared wandering spirits. No, no, refrain from turning this drama appreciation post into delving into korean folk beliefs, no!
Our Arang spirit wanders this world trying to solve the mystery of why and how she died.
Digression, there was a movie called "Arang" too, with Lee Dongwook. About (you won't guess) vengeful spirit of a girl buried in salt. Oh, I spoiled, sorry.
And we have quite an interesting scope into a remote village ruled by one man named Choi, and ruled ruthlessly to just add. Interesting fact, Kim Yong Geon who plays "king" Choi, as they call him, is in real life the father of Mr. Ha Jeong Woo (hi, Ara^^).

Then we have young Choi Joowal... and since I'm only after 4 eps... I really have no idea what's wrong with this kid. He's either borderline psycho, too quick on his knife, or some really disturbed little boy (read: royally fucked up). Is he full of hatred? Despair? Resignation? Dun-care-ness? Sectarian psychosis and obsession?
Not to forget mudang and Kim Eun Oh's servant. Those two crack up every scene they're in.

Music is also nice, really nice, a mixture of traditional lines and modern arrangement. Baek Jiyoung has a song for it but... her song is uncannily similar to that of Hawick Lau, but I won't nitpick, since I like both versions.
