We Built This City...

...on some more pop.
I know, I've been a horrible blogger lately. You can blame it all on my work, on my inability to watch a Kdrama, on my weird affinity to Z-Class movies (Oh hell no, it's Sharknado 4!).
But one thing remains constant in my life (no, not Jjong this time, but close), and it's the music.
Here you have few songs and artists that caught my ear these past months (since March, I guess).
Video heavy.
No Kim Jonghyeon, because I want to torture you all and deprive you of our Lord and Savior.
But soon, soon... be very afraid!

Kim Jonghyeon's End of a Day...

...is our end of sanity.
This post is just a redundant job to remind you how awesome our young man is.
The clima...tic MV for the song from his new album is below.

"Because a song has got to stop somewhere"

Another batch of songs that have caught my attention lately. I've been writing mostly about music or music-oriented topics, but in all honesty - every series I'm watching now started airing long time ago or ended quite some time ago and I don't feel anything I can write about it will add any dimension to the discussion. Oh wait, I lied. Of course it would. Only problem is I don't feel like it.
I have to write an academic article on Constantine, and I still can't muster up the will to do it.
This is one of the reasons you are all stuck with the music I'm listening to and then imposing on all of you.
Without much ado, let's plunge!

I'm reporting the news on the best musical actor of our times. "Miss Saigon" was also awarded as the Best West End show and Best Revival of a Musical.

[Drama Review] Cruel Palace - War of the Flowers

Yam Jeon - a woman with hands redder than her lipstick and soul blacker than her hair.
King Injo - traumatized by bowing in front of Manchu Emperor and easily played by one woman.
Prince Sohyeon - a tragic visionary who never bloomed.
Princess Min Hui - a strong woman desperate to save those close to her.
Kim In - an eunuch who knew too much.
Prince Bongrim - cautious to the point of callousness.
Nam Hyeok - a broken man who loved the devil.
Those are main dramatis personnae of this scarlet red drama about love, betrayal and greed that never stops, that is never satiated, that destroys everything on its path.

Nowhere Boys

I stumbled upon this little series (13 episodes of the first season, 25 minutes each) during my desperate search to find something to watch. I read the synopsis and decided to give it a chance. And I don't regret it at all. According to IMDb: "This fantasy action-adventure series follows four teenage boys who get lost in the forest and discover, when they return home, that they are in an alternate world identical to theirs except for one startling difference - they were never born."
How cool is that?

Wow, Fantastic February!

In terms of music, of course. And it's not about the music that was released in February, but the music *I* discovered in February.
And that makes it fantastic.

Disclaimer: I will not review Kim Jonghyeon's "BASE". My rational mind wants to, but my devotion gets the better of me.

So, off to some music! There will be lots of extremely slow, sad ballads, so beware!
