[Rearview Mirror 2020] Korean Movies

In 2020 I watched 54 Korean films. Majority of them (48) was experienced in the lovely company of my twitter friend: Mexochi. Below you can find the list of them, some with short info whether it's worth seeing or not. Also, I don't care about spoiler-phobic feelings, so yes, there are spoilers.

[Advent drama calendar 2019] Day 4: A Couple You Loved

So far this Calendar is an easy task. There was no better couple than DongJeon couple - they grew with each other, offered each other comfort and unconditional devotion. Their easiness with each other made us (OK, me) feel warm and alive.

Honorable mentions below.

Sewol Sinking Facts - Japanese Documentary

Somehow looking for Kim Namgil newest drama episode files has led me to finding this documentary from 2014. I do understand the logic behind it - after all people died in Sewol ferry sinking.

[Movie Review] Pandora

Starting a movie or a drama with Kim Namgil is like opening a Pandora box indeed - you never know what horrible death awaits his character by the end. Probably his own fault because no one can surmount an enormous mountains of suffering and deep, soul tearing pain as beautifully and hauntingly as him.
Even here, in this uneven and a bit too long (2:16) movie, he managed to show a fracture of his talent, and his last moments have been haunting me for months now, so as a cathartic treatment, I decided to write a bit about this movie.
Plus, Namgil-nim speaking with saturi.
Spoilers ahead, because I don't give a damn about your soft shells hiding even softer flesh.

[Review] The Sound of a Kim Namgil Awesomeness

This review has been sitting on my blog drafts dash for a year, because as we all know, I only review the highest forms of art, and well, this movie is not it. But it gets 65118297 stars just because of the cast. THAT's how professional I am.
But seriously, skip this one.

Sharkey Updates

Seeing Namgil-nim being called ajusshi is not the reality I wanted, to be perfectly frank. That makes me ajumma and I refuse to be one. I'm a kickass nuna, thankyouverymuch.

Kim Namgil photobook

Some of these pics of a Korean actor are taken from Japanese release scanned by Chinese website and attached on Taiwan fanclub's website. Ah, the cooperation! See, all those countries can live in peace and harmony, just throw them Kim Namgil. Peace preserved!

I'm Not Gonna Bite You...

... unless you wanted me to. Do you you want me to bite you? Is that what you're trying to tell me? (quote after: Shark).
After weeks of yes-no drama-llama plot device in practical use, we got confirmation that Kim Namgil-nim will appear on Shark. His female counterpart would be Son Yejin and she's one of those actresses I highly approve of. She can kiss act.

Spring in Dramaland

 photo Untitled-1copy.jpg

If anyone has allergy to Kpollen, well, annoying times approach. You better have your meds and tissues.
Last season was somehow dry for Kdrama. I dropped almost all dramas that started airing last year or at the beginning of this one, with the exception of Missing You, which, although being a happy trainwreck from around ep 15, managed to clutch me tight within its grip and I genuinely anticipated what the next episode will bring.
But spring season looks quite promising (all pinky and fluff and petals, I will explode with kawaii soon).

Some March Sonnet

Appreciation post of the glory that graces this blog and has Birthday today.

Using Shakespeare's Sonnet Nr 26.

Kim Namgil between snacks

Well, it's not my first time when I realize I live in a horribly wrong place among so many others.
Some recent pictures of Kim Namgil-nim. Better be prepared for a perfection that graces your unworthy and peasant screens.
Awesomeness heavy.

January music

Those who stalk me here or there know I have some unhealthy obssession with (very) few voices. I need familiarity (is this a word?) when I'm working on something and I don't want to focus on new sounds and get song all over to hear second and third line and maybe chorus too.
And although it's only half of the month, I decided to write a bit on songs/albums that go through my "miracle machine of happiness" that is winamp (or WMP). Big shout-out to one speshul friend who sends me samples!

Music tracks of KiNG

Kim Namgil-nim appeared on MBC Music show called "The Track". Below are screencaps from it I took in some weird state of elation. The whole show (23:09 in duration) is on DA already.
I like the concept of this show. They sit in some hall under the bridge having Han river under the glass floor (not for vertigo people) and talk about music etc. Namgil-nim was talking about his project as producer of Assembly and about the music he liked. Of course, as every normal crazy fan, I noted titles and put them below the cut.
Enjoy.

2012 in Kpop

From here

Last year I prepared my first post summing up the whole 2011 in broadly perceived Kpop funky land. This time - 2012 in a perspective of one rarely serious idiot fangirl, that is me. Like it's any different from any other post >.>
What happened to Kpop Imaginarium this past year? Quite a lot, yet not everything on huge scale. And to calm down all shivering with antici...pation - "Oppa didn't mean it" is also here.
I didn't include all 6589 debuts of nugu groups and all comebacks because that would use up all my bandwidth (and next week).
