2012 in Music

Some people say 2012 was a bad year in Kpop, others say it was better than 2011. I've seen better than both, but the problem doesn't lie in Kpop as the bubble, but in those who blow it. If big agencies don't change, Kpop as a total mayhem phenomenon won't change as well.
There were some good things in 2012 music and some bad things. Anything fresh and outstanding?

Seoul Drama Awards - OST Awards

From June 29th to July 20th, the Seoul Drama Awards Organizing Committee (SDAOC) will be open to vote for the most popular drama OST of the dramas between April 1st and April 30th. Bad news is - you need to have an account on cyworld, or I didn't quite figure out how to cheat.
And my usual rant - someplace I saw they nominated IU? Well, who da hell is IU when Queen Seondeok OST had Hong Kwangho??
Also, there are 40 nominees, so forgive me I didn't romanized them all here. I'm lazy, yes.
Update: in my last comment I romanized all the remaining dramas.

Korean Artists and NGO in motion

Two months ago I was looking frantically for any news on that and all I could find (I mean news on some substantial help, not "let's record the song and sell it" crap) was Park Yongha, Kim Namgil and JYJ boys. Now, looks like more artists do more than talking.
This time it's about Lee Seungcheol.

More music^^

For my all dear friends out there - 3 albums. First one is live album by Lee Seungcheol. He was even featured lately on 10Asiae as one of those few artists that were able to make a transition from 80's to 2011. I mentioned him few times. There are some of his songs that I'm unable to connect by his name. He sings differently in each one of them. For those who don't know - Lee Seungcheol was once in 80s, the vocalist in Buhwal. Still, Reflection of Sound is my favorite album of his.
10 cm is next, because my friend was talking about this album.
And the last, but not least - Varous Artists album - Save the Air Green Concert. Worth checking out.

Music Videos

Some are new some not. But since I'm idling my time away waiting for SKKS episode 19 streaming, I decided to at least do something useful. So I went both to Bobosko and Youtube. And this will become my undoing in the future. Because of the Universe of Korean music I'm not aware of or I had no time to listen to.
You know, I love Hong Kwangho and I knew the song 사랑했지만 was sung by someone else, but I couldn't/want find it. Today I did. Sadly, most of the older videos are of a crappy quality, so forgive me it's no Lucifer HD, when you see every... umm... OK, I will stop here.

Some new music

I started to give links to Melon Charts again. It's good to hear all 100 tracks and choose maybe 3 to like. I arbitrary decided which ones are worth listening to and will put them up here. The best of it must be Zia, who has really nice voice.
And I'm in desperate need of the new album of Casker^^
