JJY: a bunch of trailers

   Some are videos of good some of bad quality, but I just was hanging around watching Tamasaburou-san Sagi Musume dance and I felt the urgent need to watch even 30 seconds of JJY^^

I couldn't help it. I watched all what they had. In trailer department, that is.

But there was something hypnotic in Kabuki dance. I will write more on it soon.

Castaway on The Moon: Award in Italy

  On May 1st ended Far East Film Festival in Udinese, Italy, and Castaway on the Moon was awarded. The main aim of the festival itself is to introduce Asian cinema to the European audience (they don't have to, I think^^).

General rating for Castaway... was 4.7 points, and the next Japanese movie Accidental Kidnapper was 4.34 points. Rating by the fan audience was 4.56 points.

In Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival Awards in Estonia won the Audience Award, as well as at the Hawaii International Film Festival, the movie won an award for a film.

 As I mentioned, I dig up every article I can find on JJY, even not so new one. To be honest, there are not so much new ones. So I decided to place here one question on JJY, that Jung Ryeo Won was being asked.

The previous entry on JJY movies ends with Wedding Campaign, that depicts his character as mildly mannered (slightly behind normal speed, I would say^^) man going on the continent in order to find wife.

My Captain Mr. Underground (마이 캡틴, 김대출) is a very warm, yet moving film about small grave robber who comes across children as twisted as himself. The strange bond forms. He tells them that he is a special agent from Ministry of National Treasures, and they form a family-like relationship as a series of mishaps continues. I didn't expect the ending like this, but it was the only one possible, I guess. The scene in rain almost at the end is so powerful and emotional.
