Throwback Thursday Part 25
Today's Throwback Thursday takes us to the March 30th, 1891, when British Steamer "Utopia" sank off Gibraltar killing 574.
Because that's what utopias usually do.
The antithesis of utopia, in the common understanding, is dystopia. I'd
argue that the latter is rather a mirror image, distorted whenever
possible, but it's not the complete opposite. It's probably almost the
same ontic entity but with one tiny molecule of some quality more. It's not another quality. It's like chocolate. One may dream a world of chocolate to live in. But after some time within a world like this, having nothing more to eat or drink, not seeing anything else but chocolate flowers, one might shoot themselves between the eyes.

"Because a song has got to stop somewhere"
Another batch of songs that have caught my attention lately. I've been writing mostly about music or music-oriented topics, but in all honesty - every series I'm watching now started airing long time ago or ended quite some time ago and I don't feel anything I can write about it will add any dimension to the discussion. Oh wait, I lied. Of course it would. Only problem is I don't feel like it.
I have to write an academic article on Constantine, and I still can't muster up the will to do it.
This is one of the reasons you are all stuck with the music I'm listening to and then imposing on all of you.
Without much ado, let's plunge!

Wow, Fantastic February!
In terms of music, of course. And it's not about the music that was released in February, but the music *I* discovered in February.
And that makes it fantastic.
Disclaimer: I will not review Kim Jonghyeon's "BASE". My rational mind wants to, but my devotion gets the better of me.
So, off to some music! There will be lots of extremely slow, sad ballads, so beware!

Through June With Music
Or whatever is left of June anyway. My persistent habit of writing random words into YouTube, and now spotify, has been always paying off with finding few really nice artists like Jordan Chan Siu Chun (Traditional Chinese: 陳小春) whose album was a pleasant surprise (oh well, year 2001 in Asian R'n'B was a good year). Or some progressive metal band...
Special thanks go to Viande, who linked Yong Junhyeong's mini album and I fell for it hopelessly. My neighbours are probably less grateful to you, hon^^

August But Not Rush
Before I disappear again for my hometown holiday, maybe some music update? I found this list of 500 Essential Rock and Roll Songs, so if anyone wants to check, I'll paste it below. You remember the list of 1000 songs you Have To Listen before You Die? Yes, similar list. Highlights? No Oasis' song this time.
Don't worry, I didn't forget about my eternal voices, I'm listening to them as well.
