Throwback Thursday Part 50

In 1816 Gioacchino Rossini's opera "Barber of Seville" premieres in Rome. Therefore today's Throwback Thursday is to songs that have a city in their title.

Antonio Vivaldi's Birthday

Vivaldi was born in 1678. The most beautiful music was composed during Baroque, you know. That's why I'm throwing Beethoven into Baroque too.

Throwback Thursday Part 17

Today's TT is to February 2nd 1962 - when 8 of 9 planets aligned together for the first time in 400 years!! Oh-em-gee!! It means absolutely nothing except for the fact I can write this post 55 years later! This is why the songs are inspired by planets. AKA: some of my faves crammed into a horribly far-fetched category to satisfy my needs!
Enjoy!

Handful of music

In the previous post about Taiwan music, I mentioned the new album of Anthony Neely and now I am after listening to it. The opinion? Sadly, the album is nothing special. If it wasn't for Neely's rich voice, I wouldn't even be bothered to listen to it. OK, I lied, I would, because I listen to a lot of albums. But it's nothing memorable, that's it.
OK, back to some more music.
