[Review] The Last Kingdom Season 1

The Danes don't like Saxons. The Saxons don't like Danes. The Danes like the lands of the Saxons.
The end.

Bookshelf Part 3

Another month, another post.
Last few weeks I've been reading lots of boring, scientific-ey stuff not worthy being mentioned here. Also, gros of those are in my own native language and I doubt anyone would be interested to hear about a book on hermeneutics.
Without further ado, let's do it!

Hong Kwangho news

I admit, Miss Saigon is not my favorite musical. Or was. Now it is!
Following people who don't tweet for half a year was a good choice afterall.

JYJ in... Germany?

(from Chosun online)
I'm sorry, but if Korean Embassy is not pulling any joke on us all... I'm in heaven. Now, to find some extra work and save money.
The whole article is about the music charts in Germany (VIVA Charts) being swept by Kpop: 2NE1, MBLAQ, B2ST, 2PM, Super Junior etc.
Well, if apart from YG, SMEnt and JYP they could also add some smaller agencies, like CJ E&M also, I would be on cloud number... ah hell, 12 even.

Xenophobia

According to wikipedia:

Xenophobia is defined as the "hatred or fear of foreigners or strangers or of their politics or culture". It comes from the Greek words ξένος (xenos), meaning "stranger," "foreigner" and φόβος (phobos), meaning "fear."
Xenophobia can manifest itself in many ways involving the relations and perceptions of an ingroup towards an outgroup, including a fear of losing identity, suspicion of its activities, aggression, and desire to eliminate its presence to secure a presumed purity. Xenophobia can also be exhibited in the form of an "uncritical exaltation of another culture" in which a culture is ascribed "an unreal, stereotyped and exotic quality".

This is why I present the article below. The comparison to rivers and sea is actually crushing. This should stop all nonsense, but unfortunately it won't.

Oh Midas, what have you done to me?

Article from yahoo:

A free trade pact between the European Union and South Korea, the first such deal linking Asia and the world's largest economic bloc, came into effect on Friday, bringing with it sweeping changes.
The deal will eventually do away with 98.7 percent of duties and is expected to boost trade by tens of billions of euros a year, slash more than two billion euros in tariffs annually and create an estimated 250,000 jobs in South Korea.
The Wall Street Journal quoted EU trade commissioner Karel De Gucht as describing the pact as "the most ambitious trade deal ever concluded by the EU and should become a game-changer for our trade relations with Asia".
On the eve of its implementation, the EU's ambassador in Seoul Tomasz Kozlowski told journalists that the FTA was a "win-win" agreement and would be a model for other deals that the bloc is negotiating in the region.
The 27-nation European Union, home to 500 million people, is currently negotiating similar pacts with Japan, Asia's second largest economy, and India.
Apart from multiplying the flow of goods and services, the agreement would "boost exchange of ideas, exchange of people and culture, and ultimately will bring Korea and the EU much closer", Kozlowski said.

Europe - some country over the rainbow

Oh well, maybe, just maybe some "big idiots heads" out there start to differentiate at least 5 countries in good ol' Europe, no? Europe is France, sure, but also not oh-so-famous-for-nothing-castles countries. We have castles here too, you know...
Anyway, Koreans start to see something more than The WORLD (made of Japan, Taiwan, China and Philippines. Sometimes Thailand.), and US, good to know.

Europe

Europe is not a country. Just a reminder to any journalist or CEO out there. Or even to some ignorant normal people.
But at least nagging works.
