JJ Lin - Infinity And Beyond

Especially for Jubi^^
It was released yesterday, so the MV is the freshest fresh you can imagine. The song reminds me in few moments of quite a handful other songs, but the video is great. I mean the song too, because it's JJ Lin, and he doesn't disappoint. I had the impression the music background and the vocal line are running on two separate tracks, as if the vocal line wasn't in sync with the main music line. This dissonance is actually pretty interesting.

Video below.

B.A.P. does it again

I'm still on the fence whether any of them can sing, and all they base on are huge, ribs crushing beats. Nevertheless, there's something that makes me want to replay "Power" everytime I need sudden adrenaline shot (and I don't have any to spare).
They released new MV, almost 7 minutes long that represents what's best in Korean MVs - stories. I wrote about that countless times, Koreans do know how to make MVs.

More music^^

I know, I'm a horrible blogger recently. But one of my new year's resolutions is to write more often. I won't promise anything since this year is really a hard one.
I put most of the dramas on hold, and since some new ones came into play, probably will make a new post over the weekend gathering all that's on my plate now.
Right now, some music.

November Rain

Pic from here
So never mind the darkness
We still can find a way
'Cause nothin' lasts forever
Even cold November rain

Not much of rain this Novemeber over here, but last weekend we had a horrible fog. Musically - I have a small harvest as I started to go one song after another from the list of 1001 Songs You Must Hear Before You Die. Lots of them are alredy known to me (or most of the people, I guess) but it's always great to listen to some new stuff. I side-eyed Nancy Boy though so much, because Placebo has handful of other better songs, so why put there a song from their first album? Eh, whatever, I'm glad they made it anyway.

Naul Rides the Wind

The winds of online charts too. Usually r'n'b singers are able to secure place in listeners' hearts but not on music charts. The success of Naul is the combination of few factors in fact, in my opinion. First, some people may be already tired with constant spewing debuting of nugu groups singing the same and dancing almost the same (100% recent debut is painfully average and proves this) so people tend to go for more "music-in-music" as I call it. Second, Naul is not nugu, he was in Brown Eyed Soul along Jung Yeop, so he's not completely stranger to music world. Third, the song is captivating. And fourth - the MV is pure form of art. And last but not least - it's sad. It's Autumn, we like sadness.

Music for a new week

Simple, Free Image and File Hosting at MediaFire

Some songs are known but in new versions (Immortal Song 2 strikes back!), some are purely insane.
Did I or did I not make a review on Ulala Session's album? Cause they're bunch of insanely talented freaks (and they are also on IS 2, muwahaha!). The song here starts (the song, not the MV which is a product of a wicked genius) with the piano as if taken directly from Gloria Gaynor's I Will Survive, then we have a painful swing - and then the chaos starts. Yes, the music line may remind you all to Kenny Loggins' Footlose, but finding classical tropes in music is so much fun.

Some music

Since I have tons of work to do, it's more than certain I will be writing a post and trolling youtube. But I'm so fed up with classes, presentations, preparations, tests, reports etc. that a sheer thought about making a ppt on AfterWar Literature makes me sick.
And I'm catching up with late May releases, and some of them I put here.

Fluxus strikes back

Because anything is better than reading about key-hole shape tombs in Korea and Samhan tribes. I've been suffering lately from Tei withdrawal, listening obsessively to his 4th album and stalking Fluxus YT. This way, I present new MV of Annyeongbada/Bye Bye Sea (their vocalist clearly saw Molko in his best make-up period). Song is awesome and MV is damn nice as well. Apart from that, another song that has been on my loop since some time already.
And since I have nothing to report ( I mean I would, but that would deem me insane) of any value, just two songs today.
Oh, and btw. Ga... Asia Princes cut his hair. Let's make February's end international mourning day for Princess' curls.
Anyone knew 'some angel' had Tokyo fanmeeting? Yeah, this is why it's called 'fanmeeting', not 'let the whole WORLD bow down to my glory'. Especially when you have nothing to show really.

2011 in Kpop^^

Picture from here.
“It's best to be ruthless with the past.”
(Stephen King, Rose Madder)

I wanted to write this much earlier, but somehow other things came in a way and I postponed this until now. This is a very biased, very personal take on 2011 in Kpop, so don't throw any stones for missing this-or-this group out of those 2526545 that debuted last year. Except for 2NE1 I don't listen to girls' groups (and even 2NE1 I listen when I want to 'shake that thing' only), so lack of them here is justified, right?
Oh yes, your all-time favorite category "Oppa Didn't Mean It" is also here.
Especially for one special friend out there^^

Love peace ebbryone

JYJ Berlin concert interview with subs and Chunface. If you feel bad, or down, just look at that face and all your troubles disappear. 100% efficiency.
He should be prescribed... Hmmm... *naughty fantasies alert*
And since I'm in a fuzzy wuzzy mood (I finished an article in 48 hours, and I'm going to get dead drunk to celebrate that, my other article got published! yeah...) Big Dipper Christmas video.
I guess they decided to not to wait for Mayan end of the world and die from overworking.

Some music

I'm preparing my own dissecting of few MVs that I find threatening to our children, minds, hamsters and chives. Meanwhile, I found these nice MVs.
Ara, beware!

KPop takes over yer minds!

That's true, when I want to remove everything from my mind, I watch SMEnt videos. They are just pure entertainment and have absolutely no meaning. What possible meaning "Ring Ding Dong" can have? Anyone? (apart from turning few nunas pedo, true, but that's goal, not meaning)
Turns out, I was wrong. You were wrong as well. Looks like we are under the menacious influence of Illuminati who want to control the world, refrigerators and gods-know-what else. They claim they have been here for hundreds, maybe thousands of years. Well, if that's the case, the world conquer goes nowhere as fast as they probably planned.
I'm more likely to believe in White Walkers now than this.
