Today, some sample of Blake's poems. I chose Night from his Songs of Innocence, but those of you who haven't tried his verses, might want to read it. I know his most famous is The Tyger, that is why I wanted to avoid it.

Saturday Poetry Corner 6: Der Handschuh

Today, Friedrich Schiller with his poem. I know, I like classic poets but I like the melody and rhythm and sometimes modern poetry lacks those. Funnily enough, both of those qualities are, more than not, found in song lyrics. 

The Glove I liked from the times of my junior school. It has that subversive kind of twist that stayed with me - I'm prone to like ie. songs with such element.

It's fluffy and light but mocks the vanity perfectly.

I remember watching this as a kid and somehow the absurdities of the war were lost for me. Now, when I'm older, this series is so bitter and well crafted.
