[Rearview Mirror 2020] Korean Movies

In 2020 I watched 54 Korean films. Majority of them (48) was experienced in the lovely company of my twitter friend: Mexochi. Below you can find the list of them, some with short info whether it's worth seeing or not. Also, I don't care about spoiler-phobic feelings, so yes, there are spoilers.

Kdrama Trailer Part 2: Kingdom

Today the second trailer and wow, another sageuk, who would have thought? This is the trailer to the so-called Season 1 and Season 2, but honestly we all know where Netflix can shove that whole season format of Korean series.

[Review] The Sound of a Kim Namgil Awesomeness

This review has been sitting on my blog drafts dash for a year, because as we all know, I only review the highest forms of art, and well, this movie is not it. But it gets 65118297 stars just because of the cast. THAT's how professional I am.
But seriously, skip this one.

January music

Those who stalk me here or there know I have some unhealthy obssession with (very) few voices. I need familiarity (is this a word?) when I'm working on something and I don't want to focus on new sounds and get song all over to hear second and third line and maybe chorus too.
And although it's only half of the month, I decided to write a bit on songs/albums that go through my "miracle machine of happiness" that is winamp (or WMP). Big shout-out to one speshul friend who sends me samples!

Arrow – the pointy thing

The road to Rivendell is... oh no, wait, wrong story.
Weirdly enough, this movie’s title is simply “Bow" that evolved into Arrow – The Ultimate Weapon. Don’t know who came up with this brilliant idea. There is also another title - War of the Arrows. Each one better than the previous one. Despite this, and despite the hype, this is a really nice movie. OK, maybe not everyone will like it, because it's a historical movie. And it's not shiny and silky at all.
There are movies that are pretentious and there are critics that are pretentious. Pretentious movies try to show trivial things as if those were uncomprehensible, transcendental ideas that our simple and unsophisticated minds can't possibly comprehend. Those artsy movies that show plastic bag in the wind for 20 minutes. Pretentious critics, on the other hand, try to find the second, third and maybe even 20th meaning in a cornflakes CF.
I have only one criterion to judge movies - my personal opinion that may be summarized to - like/dislike. I'm a simple girl, I do like Ockham's razor theory. If a movie is about a bow, I will not try to find its hidden meaning about one's own destiny etc.

I Love Movies - cuts

Ah, it's good to have some time! I can watch movie shows and lot of other shows properly, I can spot there some nice men, and I can make some cuts! Preferably on me, because some of those movies won't be shown here in any cinema around. Eh, sad life.
Anyway, in Korea one movie opens soon, and this movie features lots and lots of familiar faces - Ryu Seungryong, Park Haeil, Moon Chaewon and others. The interview I cut is with those three. Mr. Ryu plays ruthless Manchu leader, and I... oh noez... ~swoon~...
Plus, a short preview of Sector 7.
