2015 Through Headphones

The year of 2015 was not the best in music. Surely, Jonghyeon and SHINee released an album and my review of the year could and probably should end here, but while going through some notes I made past year, I decided to make a monthly list with releases that are actually good. That is months worth mentioning
But then again, 2015 was not a good year in anything.
Without much ado, let's go!
Video heavy.

Santa's music

Right now I have some break between classes so not to waste time, I decided to write few words about music. I listen to tons of music, good, better, great and... well, less good. But I listen no matter what because at least I want to know what I have to trash. One exception, I couldn't listen to The Diva's full album because, afterall, I have some dignity, and as we were taught by Gene Kelly - "dignity... always dignity".

Music again

It's been a long time since I posted anything septet-unrelated. The main reason was - nothing interested me enough to post it. I tried to convince myself to W&Whale's new album, but I failed. I adore this duo, I really do, and W's music imagination accompanied by Whale's amazing vocal is something I like and listen with pleasure. But Circusss just disappointed me. I watched their live performances (because I watch all 4 music shows now again), and although I can admit they are better live than on album, I'm still not convinced. And I really love Moon Madness and 슬픈 노래는 부르지 않을 거야. The latter is my favorite song of them. The subtle W's back-up just hit the last nail to my grave first time I listened to it (it's somewhere on the player here, listen).
Jaurim is making the comeback, and I like the new album. Have to listen to it few more times, but so far so good. Jaurim-like.

Music for a beautiful November

Month started in full sunshine. The windows of the apartments on the other side are reflecting unusually blue sky. November is sad. This month has "inborn" sorrow. This is why I have shivers whenever Mary Reilly sings in Man in the Rain: How's it feel when there's time to remember?
Branches bare, like the trees in November.

But this year's Novemeber started beautifully^^

Soothing Autumn Sounds

Some weeks ago I stumbled across a new song by  the Epitone Project, and my warm feelings returned. I have no idea what's wrong with me. I've always had those "returning" things. I like to call them "Returning from the Netherworld". No difference whether they are people or music, or things. Autumn blues hit hard. Hit with the blunt, unidentified object. So, apart from FT Island and SHINee on my playlist, the rest is made with those little gems. Actually, there's more, but I don't think the whole world is dying to know what I'm listening to.
First, Casker. As much as I love W & Whale, Casker is pretty close. It consist of the vocalist Lee Yoong Jin, and producer/composer DJ Lee Juno, who also sings the back-ups. Both Casker and W & Whale's male back-ups are simply stunning. I have a thing for bass, and for back-ups. I know, a bit exhibitionistic here, but... How can I not to praise what's worth praising. As I stated someplace else. The voice of Lee Yoong Jin is sometimes mellow, sometimes sassy, sometimes eerie. The music is in general a fusion of bossa-nova (you heard it in Coffee Prince drama OST), very distinctive beat and something casker-ish.
